Where to Set Up Camp: Old Town & Zona Romántica
We are HUGE fans of staying right in the heart of the action. Old Town and Zona Romántica (which are basically the same wonderful neighborhood, just to keep it simple!) are where you want to be. Why? Because EVERYTHING is walkable! You’ve got the best restaurants, the funnest bars, and the most authentic local vibe all within a few blocks.
If you’re staying a bit further up in the Amapas area, don’t even worry about the distance. The walk from Amapas down to the famous Los Muertos Beach takes just 10–15 minutes, and it is honestly one of the most beautiful walks you’ll ever take. You get those stunning ocean views the whole way down!

We have to tell you about two of our absolute favorite spots for long-term stays!
First up is Casa Mi Sueño. The name literally means "My Dream House," and boy, does it live up to it! It is bright, colorful, and has everything you need to feel like a local from day one. It’s perfect for those who want that authentic PV energy right outside their door.
Then there’s Casa Vizcarra 2, which is just the cutest studio you’ve ever seen! It’s located in a traditional Mexican barrio, so you get to hear the real sounds of the city: local vendors, neighbors chatting, and that wonderful community feel. Plus, The PVGirl team (that's us!) is always just a message away if you need anything at all. We love our guests and want to make sure your stay is absolutely PERFECT!
Your Typical "Day in the Life"
What does a long-term day look like? Let us paint the picture for you because it is SOOO GOOD:
- 8:00 AM: Wake up to the sound of the birds and the sun peeking through your curtains.
- 9:00 AM: Head out for a quick walk from Amapas to Los Muertos Beach (remember, it’s only 10–15 minutes!).
- 10:00 AM: Grab a fresh green juice from a street vendor and head to the local market for some ingredients for dinner.
- 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Smash through some work on your laptop while enjoying the ocean breeze.
- 4:00 PM: Siesta time! Or maybe a quick dip in the ocean? Why not both?!
- 7:00 PM: Meet some new friends (it’s so easy to make friends here!) for tacos and a sunset walk along the Malecón.
- 9:00 PM: Back to your cozy apartment to relax and do it all again tomorrow!
