Seriously, put down that all-inclusive wristband for a second and listen up! Staying in a resort is like watching a movie of Puerto Vallarta through a window, but staying in a local, family-run condo is like being the STAR of the show!
I was born and raised right here in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, and let me tell you, the magic isn't found in a buffet line with 500 other people. It’s found in the cobblestone streets of Old Town, the smell of fresh corn tortillas in the morning, and the "Buenos días!" you get from neighbors who actually know your name. Once you experience the real PV, you will literally NEVER go back to a resort. It is just UNFORGETTABLE!

Don’t get me wrong, resorts are easy. But "easy" usually means "boring" and "standardized." When you stay at a big chain, you’re in a bubble. You could be in Hawaii, Florida, or Timbuktu, it all feels the same! In Old Town, every corner has a story. You’ve got these gorgeous low-rise buildings that haven’t changed in decades, draped in bright pink bougainvillea that is sooo stunning it looks fake (it’s not, I promise!). You can walk out your front door and be at a local taco stand in thirty seconds. That is the kind of experience that is totally MIND-BLOWING!

If you want to live like a local but still want that LUXURY feel, you HAVE to check out our spots. We treat our guests like family because, well, we ARE a family business!
First off, let’s talk about Hummingbird (or Casa Colibri). This place is a wide-open concept studio that is just flooded with natural light. It’s got these massive glass windows that make you feel like you’re living in the treetops of the jungle, but you’re actually just 4 blocks away from the famous Los Muertos Beach! It’s the perfect little hideaway in the hills where the sounds of the city just melt away. If you want to rent apartments in puerto vallarta that feel like a peaceful sanctuary, this is it!
Then there’s Casa Vizcarra 2. Talk about authentic! This studio is in a very traditional Mexican "Barrio." You’ll see kids playing soccer in the street and neighbors chatting over their fences. It’s only 5 blocks from the beach, and it’s got everything you need to live simple and practical. When people look to rent apartments puerto vallarta, they usually want that perfect mix of "real neighborhood" and "close to the action." Vizcarra 2 nails it every single time!

- The Food: Instead of a lukewarm buffet, you get to eat at the best taco stands in the world. Seriously, the al pastor right around the corner from our condos is to die for!

Supporting the Community
One of the things I’m most proud of is that when you stay in our condo and apartment rentals, you are directly helping the local community. The money stays right here in PV. It goes to the lady selling fruit on the corner, the family-run laundry service down the street from Vizcarra, and the local artisans who make the beautiful tiles and textiles you’ll find in our rooms.
It makes me sooo HAPPY to see our guests falling in love with the Puerto Vallarta I grew up in. You’re not just a room number to us; you’re a guest in our home town. We want you to see the hidden art galleries, the vibrant markets, and the secret hiking trails that most tourists miss.
The Magic of the Walk
One of my absolute FAVORITE things to do is take the walk from the Amapas area down to Los Muertos Beach. It’s a gorgeous, scenic stroll that takes exactly 10-15 minutes. You get these incredible views of the ocean on one side and the lush green mountains on the other. It’s the perfect way to start your day before grabbing a coffee at a local café in Zona Romántica. You just don’t get that kind of connection to the land when you’re stuck inside a resort gate!
